1961 Press Photo State troopers & police break up rioting college students

State troopers and police from six surrounding communities are shown moving in last night on 3,500 college students who rioted over their favorite spot for romancing on an unlighted beach was closed. Traffic was routed away from the beach where students were spending Easter vacations. The reinforcements moved in after students hurled stones, beer cans and bottles.
