1967 Press Photo Forest fire near Dalles, Oregon consumes 7,000 acres

Oregon's worst forest fire of the year, the Schoolmarm Springs fire near the Dalles, Oregon, sends up a curtain of smoke today before being brought under control. The most serious fire of the dry season, it burned down more than 7,000 acres.
