United States Troops to Guard Dutch Guiana Mines - United States troops are en route to Dutch Guiana to help guard the Bauxite mines, which supply over sixty percent of the American aluminum industry's requirements, it was announced by the White House in Washington on November 24th. Here is a view of one of the mining installations on the Suriname River which will be guarded by American forces. The Surinam Bauxite Company controls the mining of the precious defense material in Dutch Guiana.
