Elsie Mack, whose first novel, "A Woman of Jerusalem," is set in Palestine at the time of a stranger, whom some called the Messiah (Doubleday, $4.95). The Canadian author has had short stories and novelettes published in Canada and England, and in Redbook magazine here.
