1970 Press Photo President Nixon meets freed hostage Sarah Malka at Rome airport

Sarah Malka, 20, of North Bergen, New Jersey, talks Monday with President Nixon, who flew by helicopter to Fiumicino Airport outside Rome to meet freed American skyjack hostages. Miss Malka, a student at Rutgers in New Brunswick was among the hostages who arrived in Rome from Nicosia, Cyprus, enroute back to the United States. The Chief Executive's trip to the airport to greet the hostages was unscheduled.
