Pianist Joseph Kalichstein, 1969 winner of the prestigious Leventritt Competition, is the soloist with the New Orleans Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra this week, playing Beethoven's "Emperor" Concerto at 8:30 tonight and 7:20 tomorrow night. Born in Tel Aviv, the pianist came to the United States in 1962 to study at the Juilliard School.
