1942 Press Photo Portrait in Matthew Josephson's biography of Victor Hugo

A portrait of Victor Hugo as a young man, one of the illustrations in Matthew Josephson's biography of the great French author which will appear on October 16th. Titled Victor Hugo, it is a volume which includes much hitherto unpublished material and which follows in the tradition of the author's other great biographies of Zola, Rousseau, etc.
