Terrence Hill is starred as an arrogant cat burglar who bungles a safe cracking job and joins the French Foreign Legion to escape the law, a move that puts him under the command of a bitter martinet officer, played by co-star Gene Hackman, ordered to protect a 1918 archeological expedition in the Moroccan Sahara Desert which unites religiously fanatic Arab tribes against the Legionaries, in "March Or Die." The romantic action-adventure drama, also starring Catherine Deneuve and Max von Sydow, is a Columbia Pictures release from ITC Entertainment and was produced by Dick Richards and jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Richard in Europe and Africa from a screenplay by David Zelag Goodman, based on a story by Goodman and Richards.
