1963 Press Photo Catherine Gaskin, author of " The Tilsit Inheritance"

Catherine Gaskin (top picture) describes the shattered lives of the owners of English pottery works in her new novel, "The Tilsit Inheritance" (Doubleday, $4.95). Miss Gaskin, who is also the author of "Corporation Wife" and "Sara Dane," was born in Ireland and has lived in Australia and London. She now lives in New York with her husband.
