Patricia Collinge, whose new book of short stories, "The Small Mosaics of Mr. & Mrs. Englel," is published by Doubleday. In addition to eight stories about Mr. & Mrs. Engel, the appealing American couple whose adventures in Italy are familiar to New Yorker readers, this collection contains four stories about women of different ages and circumstances, in a section called "Ladies to the Center." The Dublin-born author is a well-known actress who has appeared in a number of movies and Broadway plays. She lives with her husband in New York City.
