1973 Press Photo Jo-Jo, Sierra Club's Wildlife Disaster Fund Obedience Winner

Puffing on a victory cigar, is Jo-Jo, the 5-year-old pet chimp who won the first place obedience award at a pet contest sponsored by a local radio station Sunday at City Park for the Sierra Club's Wildlife Disaster Fund Jo-Jo is owned by Howard Havens of New Orleans. The Sierra Club Disaster Fund is raising money to help save and feed animals in the event of natural disaster like the recent floods which forced the opening of the Morganza Spillway and trapped many deer in the Atchafalaya Basin.
