The Soviet Union is ready to trade with the United States on a wider scale, a Russian economist said Friday in an interview at Tulane University. Doctor Anatoly I. Shapiro, head of the department, Institute of World Economy and International Relations, U.S.S.R. Academy of Sciences, Moscow, said increased trade between the two countries would not only help both economies, but it would improve political relations between the U.S. and Russia as well.
