The Reverend John Vandercook, left, carries on the work of the New Orleans Baptist Seamen's Service with seamen on ships arriving in New Orleans. With him are (from left, Sebastian Ferrereira, Airton De Silva Maia and Renato Silva Santos, Portuguese seafarers. In November men and women from 27 countries were assisted by the Baptist Seamen's Service.
