In Denver, Colorado, two Department of Interior Biologists climbed into a small government-owned aircraft and headed the plane to New Orleans. Their mission: to extract the contents of two whooping crane eggs laid at New Orleans Audubon Park. The eggs had been produced by the park's famed whooping crane mother, Josephine.
