Research Associate Dr. Frances Fitz-Gerald with infant Chimpanzees. Enos the Astrochimp took two turns around the Earth in 1961 and so led American spacemen into orbit. Now other monkeys are preceding their human brethren across some vital frontiers of medicine. These and many other possibilities are being studied at the Yerkes Regional Primate Research Center here on the campus of Emory University. This center has been called "the most remarkable nonhuman community on earth."
