Pope John XXIII, left, and the primate of Poland, Stefan Cardinal Wyszynski, are shown during their 45-minute conference in the Vatican today. Their conference was described as a detailed discussion of the church's position in Communist-ruled Poland. Conference took place as churchmen gathered from all over the world for the Roman Catholic Church's Ecumenical Council which opens on Thursday.
