1959 Press Photo Chief Boatswain George M. P. Young retired from Coast Guard

Forty-six-year-old Chief Boatswain George M. P. Young retired from the United States Coast Guard yesterday, after 25 years of service. He had been daily duty officer and search and rescue officer for the port here since November 29, 1957. Prior to that date he was officer in charge of the Coast Guard cutter "Hudson," New Orleans.
