1969 Press Photo Mary Wittenberger selected for outstanding 4H contributions

Adult local leaders selected for their outstanding contributions 4H Club work in Southeast Louisiana were Harry Lea, of Baton Rouge, president of the East Baton Rouge Cattlemen's Association, and Mrs. Mary H. Wittenberger, of Mandeville, a teacher who still teaches after having "retired" three times. The winners and the local leaders each were visited by a reporter-photographer team of The Times-Picayune, along with contest judges I.J. Becnel, Lloyd J. Lauden and Ramon Billeaud, all members of the Agricultural Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of the New Orleans area, and George R. Queen, Orleans Parish county agent and agricultural manager of the Chamber.
