Zatarain, president of the Audubon Park Commission for the purchase of new animals at the park's zoo. William R. Pohlmanh Sr., park superintendent, said this is but one donation which has been made to the park to replace some 39 animals valued at $15,000 which were lost during a fire at the animal hospital at the park last week.
