Officers P. F. Sanderson, J. H. Suitt, Head search for "Candy's" kin. The "rub in Louisiana's burial laws came to light again today for the second time in recent weeks as a good-hearted bar owner searched the country for the family of a dead barmaid. Under Louisiana law a body may not be claimed for burial except by a member of the deceased's family. If no relative turns up, the body is turned over to a medical school or is given a pauper's burial in Potters Field.
