The Carrollton Home Furnishings Company, 4621 Airline Highway in Metairie, opened today with a complete line of household appliances. Attending ribbon-cutting ceremonies were Jefferson Parish Sheriff Alwynn J. Cronvich and a representative of Jefferson Parish President Thomas F. Donelon. Jay Scanlon, general manager of the store, said that by the end of the summer he expects to be selling "a complete line of home furnishings."
