Reporter Richard Sanders, right, accepts a Citation of Merit on behalf of the New Orleans States-Item from Councilman James E. Fitzmorris Jr., representing the New Orleans chapter of the Leukemia Society, Incorporated. The Greater New Orleans Chapter of the Leukemia Society Incorporated this morning presented citations of merit to 14 local organizations for their support and cooperation during the chapter's recent, fund-raising drive. Recipients were Industrial Outdoor Advertising, the Jung Hotel, New Orleans-States Item, The Times-Picayune, WDSU-TV, WDSU-Radio, WJMR-Radio, WRCM-Radio, WWL-TV, WWL-Radio, WVUE-TV, WSMB-Radio, WWOM-Radio and WYES-TV. Also receiving citation awards were Mrs. Branch J. Aymond and Miss Jennie S. LeBlanc.
