Announcing Mariners Square Shopping Center to be built in Mariners Village in St. Tammany parish are, from left, veteran resort builder Charles J. McLaughlin of Los Angeles; Charles A. Prechter and his son, Chip. The Prechters (including a second son, David) are handling leasing and sales. The new shopping center will be located on North Causeway Boulevard at Mariners Boulevard in Mandeville, and will preserve the rustic theme being created in the village.
