Louisiana State Bar Association-John Pleasant at Convention. Louisiana State Bar Association President-Elect John R. Pleasant, Shreveport, left, confers with New Yorker Richard Z. Steinhaus following an address by Steinhaus at the LSBA convention in Biloxi. Steinhaus, chairman of a subcommittee of the American Bar Association on attorney-client privilege, advocated stronger laws to put an end to electronic eavesdropping by government agents. Strong laws to put an end to eavesdropping by government agents, particularly those of the Internal Revenue Service, were advocated Friday by a speaker at the 25th annual convention of the Louisiana State Bar Association. Richard Z. Steinhaus, New York, chairman of a subcommittee on attorney-client privilege of the American Bar Association, said the IRS conducts two schools at its national headquarters where agents have been taught to wiretap, build transmitters and pick locks.
