1969 Press Photo NORD Rangerettes walk in St. Joseph Parade in New Orleans

The young NORD Rangerette at right appears to be admiring something which she really doesn't see. The giant headgear is a lighted emblem on a lamp post and the illusion was created during the St. Joseph parade last night. The parade ended at the St. Joseph's Altar at 1802 Tulane avenue, one of many throughout the city in observance of St. Joseph's Day.
