Description
Pope Paul VI marks 69th birthday anniversary. Pope Paul VI, observing his 69th birthday with a normal 18-hour working schedule, today urged 1,200 Roman Catholic theologians opening a week-long international congress in Rome to debate freely but to respect each other's opinions. The Pontiff also asked the theological experts to "show the way to avoid errors" in interpreting Ecumenical Council doctrines modernizing the church. In a letter to the meeting, he told the theologians to "infuse their debate with charity to prevent sharp conflict."
