Workmen move furniture into second floor office of Unit 1 building at New Orleans Army Terminal in preparation for activation of New Orleans Army Base headquarters. A ceremony tomorrow morning will officially mark the phasing out of some functions at the New Orleans Army Terminal and the activation of the New Orleans Army Base. Part of the 33 military and civilian personnel to be retained at the terminal will gather outside the Unit 1 building at 8 a.m. and hear a brief speech by Colonel Edward P. Ketcham Jr., commander of the U.S. Army Terminal Command, Gulf. Port of Embarkation.
