1969 Press Photo Walter J. Philbin Jr. honored with the Navy Achievement Medal

Walter J. Philbin Jr. of New Orleans has been awarded the Navy Achievement Medal with Combat "V." A former corporal, Philbin was decorated for outstanding service with the 26th Marines in Vietnam last year. He was released from active duty in April and is now attending LSUNO. He lives with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Philbin Sr., at 4924 S. Tonti street.
