1977 Press Photo Karl Paschke & Erika Spilsbury- The German Seamen's Mission

The German Seamen's Mission celebrated its 10th anniversary this weekend with a bazaar Saturday, and in New Orleans discussing the mission and its concerns Sunday is Karl Paschke, Paschke is counselor for press affairs in Washington, D.C., for the Federal Republic of Germany. He was a founder and the first board president of the mission in 1967, when he served as West Germany's consul in New Orleans. Beside Paschke is Mrs. Erika Spilsbury, the current president of the mission board.
