Newhouse, center, is shown the design for Syracuse university's new school of journalism, one of three buildings in a complex to be known as the Newhouse Communication Center, made possible through a gift of $15 million by Newhouse and his wife. Explaining the design are associate architects Russell King, left, and Harry King. A gift of $15 million for the development of a center for the study of mass communications has been pledged to Syracuse university in New York by publisher S.I. Newhouse and his wife.
