Explaining the operation of a new hemodialysis unit (artificial kidney machine) in Touro Infirmary's Artificial Kidney Center to officers of Touro's Women's Auxiliary is Dr. Tom Oelsner, medical director for hemodialysis units. The auxiliary members are (from left) Mrs. Byron M. UnKauf, president-elect; Mrs. Arthur Carre III, first vice-president; Mrs. Jacques Levy, president, and Mrs. Louis L. Blum, treasurer. The auxiliary unit recently presented a $10,000 check to the kidney center and earlier this year donated $4,800 for the purchase of two incubators for the hospital's maternity ward.
