Description
Coming out of the waters of Lake Pontchartrain onto the jagged rip rap that protects the entrance to the Industrial Canal is a new amphibious craft which went through its paces to demonstrate its versatility for the Orleans Parish Levee Board. The Levee Board has ordered six of these craft with cabs attached for emergency use during flood or storm. The "ducks" will be delivered before the September hurricane season, Board president Milton E. Dupuy announced.
