1969 Press Photo Lance Corporal Michael Mullin returns home from Vietnam

Lance Corporal Michael Mullin, 22, of Boston is greeted by his sisters Maureen (left) and Cathy on returning home from Vietnam missing the lower part of his right leg but not without high spirit. Mike, who missed Marine Reserve meetings because he wanted to go to Vietnam, helped organize and spoke at a neighborhood rally in support of American troops in Vietnam. His leg was blown off by a Viet Cong land mine.
