Description
How secure is the future of the American Merchant Marine? While some people in the shipping industry are convinced that it's suffering a slow death, the man who trains the mariners for United States cargo vessels is firm in his belief that "there always will be an American Merchant Marine." Rear Admiral Gordon McLintock, superintendent of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, said in an interview here today that there always are some people who look to the gloomy side.
