Description
Receiving plaques in recognition of achievements over the past half-century are Edward C. Meric (center) and Marion W, Stewart. Making the presentation is the Very Reverend Andrew A. Smith, S.J., president of Loyola University-Meric and Stewart were two if 13 graduates of the Class of 1914 to be so honored Monday. Mediocrity has no place in our times. Society, as President Kennedy observed, now demands quality in all areas of human achievement. College graduates most supply much of that need.
