1971 Press Photo Memorial Day Services at Chalmette National Cemetery

St. Bernard Parish veterans organizations and their auxiliaries paid tribute to dead war veterans in the Chalmette National Cemetery Sunday afternoon. Ceremonies opened with a parade through the cemetery of all organizations and the Star-dusters Drum and Bugle Corps. Some 15,000 new American flags were upon the cemetery's graves.
