1964 Press Photo Reverend William McNamara, Spiritual Life Institute of America

Plans were announced by the Reverend William McNamara, founder of the Spiritual Life Institute of America, for launching the institute's first "House of Learning and Leisure" in Sedona, Arizona. Fr. McNamara is a member of the Discalced Order of Carmelities, a Catholic group, but he pointed out that men of all faiths will be invited to live at the house for a time to communicate with one another on the fundamental problems of their lives and times.
