Announcing Sunday night that sewerage and water services in New Orleans will not be affected by a threatened walkout of union employees of the Sewerage and Water Board (S&WB) are officials of the S&WB. From left are: Ben McBeth, chairman of the S&WB Labor Committee; John P. LaBouisse, president pro-tem of the board; Edmund F. Hughes, general superintendent, and John E. Morrell, secretary. The announcement came at a press conference at City Hall.
