1964 Press Photo Mayor Victor H. Schiro honors the leaders of Valencia Club

Leaders of the teenage Valencia Club receive recognition from Mayor Victor H. Schiro for their sponsorship of the "Candy Day" project to raise funds for the March of Dimes. Pictured with the mayor at City Hall are, from left, Diane Vallee, David Yeomans, Jean Denechaud, Jay Molony and Tom Cheney. In addition Mrs. Schiro received an award for serving as chairman of the "Mothers' March" and Charles Lanier, 1964 Orleans Parish Dimes campaign director, accepted an award from Robert Stackpole, chairman of the Orleans Parish chapter of the National Foundation-March of Dimes. John Cieutat and Willard E. Robertson, both campaign committeemen, also received awards.
