1951 Press Photo Amateur radio operators honored at New Orleans Country Club

Four Orleans amateur radio operators were honored Friday night for their part in keeping the Illinois Central Railroad in operation during the winter's ice and snow storms. The men received individual honor buttons from the railroad at a dinner at the New Orleans Country Club. They were Irvine J. Levi, 807 Howard; Robert E. Steiner, 290 Betz, Jefferson Parish; Thomas J. Morgavi, 3421 Beaulieu, and J.C. Bullock, 5226 Spain.
