Bringing the Acadian heritage into the Louisiana Mardi Gras Ball in Washington, D.C., Saturday will be Miss Mary Kay Marchand of Plaquemine, Louisiana, the International Acadian Festival's "Evangeline." She will be presented in the typical garb of the young Acadian maiden immortalized in Longfellow's poem, "Evangeline."
