Senator Russell B. Long of Louisiana congratulates members of the Jesuit High School debating team which finished second in the National Cherry Blossom Debating tournament at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. The New Orleans team finished second to Miami Beach, Florida, in a field of 180 teams from 32 states. From left are Ray Rabalais, Mike Allain, Senator Long, the Reverend Mr. Richard Tonry, S.J., coach of the team; Robert Dupont, who was voted one of the outstanding speakers of the tournament, and Walter Stuart. The tournament was held February 14-17.
