Elected Wednesday at a meeting of the 1971 board of directors of the Legal Aid Bureau in New Orleans were (seated, from left) Arthur G. Kingsmill, president; Mrs. Elizabeth R. Haak, secretary, and (standing, from left) Antonio E. Papale, vice-president, and Edmond R. Eberle, treasurer. The other members of the board are James S. Arceneaux, Louis B. Claverie, Alvin Rudy Eason, Morton J. Gaba, Stephe C. Hartel, the Reverend Ray P. Hebert, Wilmer G. Hinrichs, Ernest N. Morial, A.P. Tureaud and the Reverend George H. Wilson. The bureau renders legal services of a civil nature to indigent residents of Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard and St. Tammany Parishes while its criminal division provides representation for indigents within the jurisdiction of the Criminal Court for the Parish of Orleans.
