1972 Press Photo Workers gathered at Ingram Industries ammunition manufacturing

Relatives and friends of workers were among those who gathered at the entrance to the Ingram Industries ammunition manufacturing plant Thursday following Wednesday's explosion and fire which took the lives of five people. The plant employs 135 workers, mostly women. The dead were in one building which exploded. Kiln, Mississippi (AP) - Men checking ruins left by blasts that killed five workers withdrew from an ammunition plant Thursday after spotting a drum of high explosive with smouldering packing around it.
