Description
The Present Meets The Past as Julie Forsythe, a third grader at Edward Hynes Elementary School, casts a critical glance at the outfit of her counterpart from the turn of the century in the Presbytere. - Scores of thoroughly modern moppets in mini-skirts and slimjims confronted Louisiana history today in the Presbytere - and won. Versed in the Indian lore of the state, a group of third graders from Edward Hynes Elementary School proudly told their guide one of the 47 trained tour leaders and members of the Junior League if New Orleans, Inc., the Choctaw name for the Mississippi. Another bunch took great delight in pretending there was actually a body lying in state in a centuries-old catafalque.

Photo is dated 1966.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
