Proud little Hokes are Jean (sitting on mother's lap), Elaine (sitting on dad's lap), Tommy Jr., (left, rear) and Terry. Still in their twenties, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Hoke Sr., are the parents of eight children, five boys and three girls. They are Tommy Jr., Terry, Jean, Elaine, Timothy, Eddie, Michael and Sue. The Hokes' courtship began when they were about five years old and lived, one house apart, in Belzoni, Mississippi. Hoke is a few months older than his wife.
