Not on your life, say these "City Councilmen" who turn thumbs down on cheap edibles in favor of steak and seafood "councilmen specials" in the upcoming Gridiron Club roast of local and state politicians. Portraying three of the councilmen will be (from left) Fred Thomas, floor director at WVUE-TV; Howard Jacobs, Times-Picayune columnist, and Newtown Renfro, Times-Picayune editorial writer and education specialist. Other stars in the 7:45 p.m. Saturday show at Municipal Auditorium include Iris Kelso (portraying U.S> Representative Lindy Boggs), Alee Gifford, Angela Hill, Tommy Griffin, Allan Katz, Nash Roberts and Lanny Thomas.
