1954 Press Photo Heiress Mrs. Muriel Rockefeller-McCormick Hubbard adopts boys

Marysville, California: Mrs. Muriel Rockefeller-McCormick Hubbard (above), widowed heiress to an estimated $40,000,000 fortune, has adopted two seven-month old boys from poor families. The adopting proceedings were completed 1/27 despite the fact that the California Department of Social Welfare had recommended against the adoption. Mrs. Hubbard is shown above at the time when she was a WAC Sergeant.
