1968 Press Photo Everett Hutchinson of the Interstate Commerce Commission

Everett Hutchinson, former chairman of the Interstate Commerce Commission and presently under secretary of the Department of Transportation, will address the New Orleans Traffic and Transportation Bureau's first annual Bertel Award luncheon at the Roosevelt Hotel February 28. Named for the late C. Alvin Bertel Sr., the award will be presented to an individual who has done the most to promote the movement of cargoes' through New Orleans' air, water, rail and highway facilities by helping to keep New Orleans competitive, according to Ralph Rugan, bureau president.
