Mrs. Earline Guillory. District woman leader. Mrs. Earline Guillory is the leader of the Vinton Northside 4-H Club when she isn't working as a cashier or taking care of the Guillory family, which includes second-place winner Keith Guillory. Her leadership, which began when a daughter joined 4-H and took sewing projects, has now expanded to include livestock demonstrations, ranging from sheep to cattle to rabbits, along with the usual homemaking projects. This year's adult male leader, Charles Dill, who was Louisiana's "Co-op Man of the Year in 1972," was visited at the Vermillion Parish Farmer's Co-operative in Abbeville where, in only a few minutes, he taught a group of visiting "city boys" more about rice than they learned in a lifetime. Dill, who was Abbeville's "Citizen of the Year" in 1964, has been involved in almost every aspect of the rice industry and in innumerable civic and community activities and his experience and knowledge have been invaluable in helping 4-H youngsters in his area.
